Read full report here. Overview: Wetworks: Gets mod that allows you to barely be seen in 'promethean vision' ... also, quieter footsteps and faster assassination animation. Pioneer: Fast-track mod that allows for quicker leveling up. Engineer: Mod that gives you a several seconds heads-up of an ordinance weapons drop coming in. Tracker: Mod that allows you to "reroll" if you don't like the weapons drop choices. Rogue: Allows you to keep the "zoom" on a weapon locked even while taking a hit. Stalker: Allows you to target the last person who's killed you, as well as those who've attacked you but unsuccessfully killed you. Pathfinder: Comes with "Gunner" mod, which allows faster cooldown on weapons that may need such and also allows the player to move faster when carrying detached weapons. Operator: Comes with mod that resists EMP blasts that would shut vehicle down. Also, allows the user to recharge vehicle health faster.
I'm a little confused. Are these specializations what we pick from at the start of each game, or the ultimate perks you get from leveling up the specializations at the start of each game? That is, how do they relate to promethean vision, jetpack, etc.?
NO. Your Halo 4 character has 50 levels. (Like CoD's 80, etc.) After you reach level 50 ... you can pick a specialization to master (the ones listed above). Each specialization has 10 levels. NOTE: Once you pick a specialization, you're stuck with it until you master it. In other words, you can't get three levels through Wetworks and go, "Dude! I'd rather have Rogue." You have to reach the Wetworks level cap first. When the game first launches, only Wetworks and Pioneer will be available to people who reach level 50. The others will be released over time in TU's (not DLC). However, ordering the limited edition will get you access to six of the specializations after level 50, rather than just two.
